Picasso, da Vinci, Van Gogh – All painters with work lasting centuries. Now imagine giving an original painting of the special bride in your life as a gift to last forever. “The thought of having a bridal portrait painted is a unique approach to creating a lasting bridal image,” says Anthony Sweat, painter. “The craftsmanship and time involved in having a portrait produced with paint is sure to create a timeless family heirloom.”

A temple painting also makes a priceless wedding gift. “Each Latter-day Saint family has been encouraged to have a picture of the temple prominently displayed in their home,” says Anthony. “Not many gifts could mean more to a newly married couple than a beautiful original painting of the temple where they were married to hang on the walls of their new home.”

Currently Anthony centers his subject matter on portraiture, the figure, religious themes and landscapes. His art is a mix of realism and post impressionism, creating realistic paintings while leaving traces of his work in his brushstrokes, letting the viewer’s eye blend the patches of color to complete the smaller details into a cohesive whole. He paints from his studio in his home where he receives continual support from his number one fan, his wife Cindy. Anthony believes the highest aim of art is to inspire and communicate universal truths, ideas and feelings.

If you would like a bridal or temple painting completed in time to display at your wedding, please contact Anthony at least two months before the celebration. It took a little bit of time to create the Sistine Chapel.  A painting can also be created from wedding photos of the couple.
