Latter-Day Woman, June/July 2009 Issue (Washington State)
One of the great wedding sites to visit on the internet is BrideAccess.com, formerly UtahBrides.com. This site has some great tools and a fantastic selection of recommended vendors. Even though, at this time, the vendors listed are only for the State of Utah, (they have plans to expand to other areas of the country in the future) the site has absolutely fabulous tips, advice and ideas for creating the wedding of your dreams. There is, also, a weekly television show, featuring the BrideAccess experts, discussing everything wedding-related, from design to relationships. For those of us not in Utah – past episodes may be watched by simply visiting the website. As a prospective bride, you can register (free) to gain even more “access” to wedding planning tools and tips. Read more…

Thought #1:
A very current trend is the use of Tiffany blue with another accent color. Just remember the issue for florist is there is no tiffany blue flower and white and cream are over used. Here is an example of Tiffany blue used with shades of blue, such as Iris, and a complementary color such as Apricot or Lemon Yellow.

Many brides when planning their big day will naturally select 2 to 4 colors to use for decorations, flowers and bridesmaid dresses. Though color combinations can be lots of fun and look fabulous, why not stick with one color for a monochromatic color scheme. When entering your event the guest will be impressed with the continuity, and impact that sticking with one color can create! It gives the illusion that the space is full and abundant. You can use different shades within that color to create depth. For example you may select a soft pink for your table linens with a dark pink rose for your centerpieces. Most importantly whatever your color combination may be make sure it is a color that YOU are passionate about as it is YOUR big day!

So when it came down to planning their wedding, it didn’t take long to decide that “going green” was the natural direction to take. Emily is a vegetarian and conscious of the way her lifestyle affects the world around her. Paul’s parents had offered the use of their large piece of property at Wolf Creek Ranch outside of Park City, Utah for the celebration, and Paul wanted to use it in a way that respected the land he and his wife-to-be love. When it comes to flowers… they can dictate the entire look and personality of your event or simply pull it all together…
Example #1
Let’s say your colors are Chocolate Brown and Antique Golds, obviously there are not a lot of flowers that come in these tones but by adding a deep wine(red) tone in the flowers you then unify the look!
