Know Yourself
Before meeting with a wedding officiant, take a few moments to reflect with your fiancé, asking some questions: How do you see me? What do you want in a wedding ceremony? What do you expect of me? What is your secret hope?
Be Yourself
When you meet with your potential officiant, attempt to be yourself, not someone you would like to be. Don’t try to make a good impression. The ceremony you want will come out of who you are, exactly as you are. Maybe what you call a fault is the thing that attracted your fiancé to you, in the first place.

When I had the pleasure of working with the Bride Access team my favorite quote from the show was “your day – your way” because it expresses very concisely what I believe the officiants or ministers role should be… to create a ceremony that is a reflection of the bride and groom.
