Zermatt Resort… What an awesome place!

Robin and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at Zermatt Resort in Midway this last weekend. We stayed in a gorgeous Penthouse Suite. We ate at Matty’s Cafe. We ate at Schneider’s for their all you can eat Seafood Buffet. Yum! We played miniature golf on their professionally designed course. We stole away to their Bakerei & Eiss Cafe where they serve up award winning pasteries and gelato ice. We had a couple’s massage at their beautiful and elegant spa. Everything was first class. The atmosphere was wonderful and gave us a fabulous time as we celebrated a milestone anniversary.

When we arrived to our room, I walked in and there were pictures of us and and our four kids scattered in the room. It was a very emotional moment for me.

For a place so close to Salt Lake City, UT, you would have thought that you were in Switzerland or some other European countryside.

While we were there, we also saw the makings of a wedding which was going to happen later the day we left.  What a fabulous and dreamy place for a wedding.

We never left the resort and enjoyed a very relaxing time with each other… which with 4 kids… doesn’t happen enough.

Choosing Your Wedding Attendants

I received a call from a “Maid of Honor” last week to set up an appointment for a tour of The Gathering Place at Gardner Village.  I was impressed by her eagerness to help her bride.  As they arrived for the tour, she pulled out a checklist and began to ask important questions about availability, parking, ceremonies, wedding luncheons and reception information.  She also inquired about details such as linens, centerpieces, décor, food options and favors.  She was well prepared with her questions and wrote notes to refer to once they had completed their tour of wedding sites.  She was definitely going above and beyond the call of duty.  How lucky that bride was to have such a well-organized and helpful friend in planning that very important day!
