The Wedding Video
When I say “wedding video” what comes to mind? “Cheesy”, “Embarrassing!”, “Boring” and even “A waste of money” are a few. I’ve seen these types of videos and you most likely have too. The scary thing is that the children of these unfortunate souls will actually think their parents’ weddings were cheesy, embarrassing and boring! Ahhhh! No wonder red lights start flashing when we hear the words “wedding video”. So the easy thing to do is put “wedding video” at the bottom of the list and if any of the budget is left over we might have “Uncle Bob” film it just so we don’t regret not having that special moment recorded.

Hannah and Ryan are just one of those couples with a ton of personality and uniqueness and it really shows in their pictures. I love trying to get the couples hobbies and interests showcased in their photography some how. The theme for their wedding was Alice in Wonderland, but Hannah wanted it more based on the book than the Disney movie-a little more dark, but still quirky. Her colors were bright pink, green, orange, with black and white accents.

Know Yourself
Before meeting with a wedding officiant, take a few moments to reflect with your fiancé, asking some questions: How do you see me? What do you want in a wedding ceremony? What do you expect of me? What is your secret hope?
Be Yourself
When you meet with your potential officiant, attempt to be yourself, not someone you would like to be. Don’t try to make a good impression. The ceremony you want will come out of who you are, exactly as you are. Maybe what you call a fault is the thing that attracted your fiancé to you, in the first place.

Focal Point:
A bride’s wedding cake is often considered to be the focal point of the wedding reception. It can be ordered from your local bakery or a specialty bakery that specializes in custom wedding cakes. Most bakeries allow the bride and groom to choose from different cake shapes and sizes and will decorate the cake using the color theme from the wedding. The cake must not only look good but taste good as well. Custom bakeries allow multiple flavor choices for the couple to choose from. The cake is often the final remembrance of the couples wedding day. Read more…

What is a Wedding Planner and why do you need one?
The purpose of a wedding planner is to step into a Bride’s dreams and help her make them a reality! Brides bring the vision of their future wedding day and planners bring the expertise. A wedding planner has the imagination and insider’s know-how to make your wedding exactly what you are looking for.
When planning your wedding, knowing where to start is often daunting. There may be aspects of your wedding day that you’ve been dreaming about since childhood, and you can entrust a planner to make those dreams come true. Newly engaged couples often don’t realize how much there really is to planning a wedding. It can be very stressful, time consuming and over-whelming. Read more…

In today’s challenging economy, many brides are looking for cost effective ideas for their wedding reception. Having a reception in a church gym is one way to cut costs and still have a beautiful event! Most churches allow brides to use their gym at no charge. Another perk—you aren’t locked into using a specific (and usually expensive) caterer. Family and friends can prepare and serve delicious refreshments at a fraction of the cost that a caterer would charge.

A new kind of theft has emerged that you should know about.
Wedding crashers who come and steal money envelopes from the gift table. They come dressed for your wedding, they mingle, they eat, then they casually walk over to place an envelope in the designated location at the gift table. Or at least so it would seem. Instead they use a coat to cover the envelopes and grab them up while no one is looking, and leave the reception. With so many people coming and going and visiting on such a happy occasion, there are enough distractions that one would not suspect a theft right under our noses. Read more…
